Hyperdub (Burial, Laurel Halo, Kode9,...) strikes again!
āCompelling and intriguingā and: ā****ā (The Guardian)
āOne of Hyperdub's finest releases in 2013.ā (Boomkat)
āA 2013 flagship for what electronic pop could sound like.ā (Rough Trade Shop)
When it has anything to do with danceable cutting edge electronica, then we're more than happy to refer to the Hyperdub record label from London. We could hardly not, what with influential releases from the likes of Burial, Laurel Halo, Terror Danjah, Kode9 and King Midas Sound.
The same logic also applies to their latest signing: Canada's Jessy Lanza. Her excellent debut āPull My Hair Backā was recorded with Junior Boys-member Jeremy Greenspan and resulted in āglacial electro-R&Bā. The spirit and echoes of Jamie xx are never far removed. Hyperdub rules!
