Isbells celebrate departure in style before leaving for US
“Magical masterpiece.” (Humo)
“Splendid album. Buy it.” (Focus Knack)
Things are going well for Isbells. Very well. Their second album ‘Stoalin’, released earlier this year, received outright rave reviews (see: above). That album will soon lead a well-earned second life outside of our borders... ‘Stoalin’’ will be released in early 2013, not only Germany but also on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean, America to be more precise.
The festival summer was a topper for Isbells too, with visits to the likes of major Belgian festivals Rock Werchter and Pukkelpop. Here too, there were more ****-reviews than you can poke a stick at.
Before Isbells make the big crossing to America, the band will be waving off in style with an undoubtedly enchanting and refined concert in AB. Also, one of the last Isbells concerts here in Belgium until mid 2013.
The opener will be Few Bits from Antwerp: the band encompassing singer-songwriter Karolien Van Ransbeeck. Her intimate songs have already impressed Admiral Freebee, Heather Nova, I Blame Coco and Jessica Lea Mayfield for whom she has already opened. She'll be releasing her debut album in early 2013 via Zealrecords (Isbells, Marble Sounds,…).
