Brussels darling of French chanson with an extra show!
After her first concert on November 15th, which quickly sold out, we are proud to announce a second performance of the rising star Iliona at the AB!
Her very first album 'What if I break up with u'? was released on March 14th, and the reviews are unanimously positive. The young woman from Brussels captivates both the press and the audience in a natural way. This 11-track project captures the ambivalence of a message suspended between hope and detachment. A Swiss Army knife of music, Iliona composes, writes, and performs her album in the best possible way. With her touching poetry and a polished production, this album is set to be a must-have in 2025.
Born with the second millennium, Iliona grew up without much drama, except for the stories she writes alone in the evenings. As a teenager, Iliona waits. For things to move, for freedom and passion to finally present themselves. Iliona waits, plays piano, composes tracks she produces solo to master every nuance and inflection of them. It’s 'Moins Joli', a poignant ballad about the final moment shared between two lovers, that first catches attention. Two EPs follow, already showing the range of styles Iliona can deploy: deconstructed bedroom pop or a tribute to the sixties: 'Tristesse' (2020) and 'Tête Brûlée' (2022).
After confirming her return with tracks like 'Le Lapin', 'Stp', and 'Rater une rupture pour les nuls', Iliona announces the release of her first album and a few concerts in Paris and Brussels. And the rest is history!
