The Tour of Lombardy is the last “classic” of the cycling season and is labelled by some as one of the most difficult courses of the year. Along the beautiful roads around Lake Como, every year the racing cyclists go into battle again for this ‘classic of the falling leaves’.
Johannes Sigmond (Blaudzun) has been a cycling fan ever since he was a child and had been carrying around the idea of making a documentary about this legendary cycling classic for a long time. He worked on this project with Robert Jan van Noort for 5 years long. Always with the intention of exposing the true soul of this heavy competition, something they've achieved wonderfully well.

In 105 years time there have been 2 Dutchmen to win this competition. 12 Belgians have already ascended the winner's podium.

The film will be screened in its original version (Dutch / Italian with Dutch sub-titles).
