Nederhop kaiser Kees de Koning has been running the renowned hip hop label TopNotch – that houses top acts like Extince, Opgezwolle, De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig, The Opposites and our very own Guido Belcanto, Safi & Spreej and Diamantairs (in collaboration with Eigen Makelij) – for almost twenty years now. He started out in the mid-eighties as a journalist for the likes of music mag OOR and as organiser of parties like B-Boy Extravaganza in Amsterdam's Paradiso, since then he's worked his way up to label owner, Director Artist Development for the Dutch branch of Universal Music, and manager of Anouk.
