Jarring Effects, also known as JFX, is a label based in Lyon, with distinguished names like High Tone or Ez3kiel. Two of the better French dub acts, who aren't scared of a little adventure with electronica, hip-hop, or post-rock and spend just as much attention on visuals. On 10 December we welcome two of their most prominent performers in the VK . High Tone is no unknown in Belgium, they've performed here previously (in the AB as support-act to Le Peuple De L’Herbe). Live it's a wild brew of warm dub vinyl, avant-garde electronica and scratching. The unique sound of Brain Damage from Saint-Etienne is rather a mixture of dub, minimalism, electronica and spoken word.
