Hannelore took her time. Almost 2.5 years after her highly acclaimed debut album "Wat als", the long-awaited second CD "Uitgewist" is now due for release.
Hannelore has been praised to high heavens repeatedly over the past years but didn't want to release just any old second album.
I had to be an album to equal the first one. Not just an exercise in repetition but rather the result of 2 years of intensive playing, searching and writing.
Taking your time often reaps its rewards. She withdrew into Studio Dada in Brussels with her regular team of musicians and with producer Luc Weytjens.
"Uitgewist" sounds tighter than the first album, more like one whole, less "girlie", harder and softer at the same time, but still with lyrics that take your breath away.
"Uitgewist" will be in stores on 14 January. A week later you can come and cheerfully sing along with everything during the CD launch in your favourite concert hall.
Musicians: Thomas Vanelslander (guitar), Bart Van Lierde (bass), Davy Deckmijn (drums), Seraphine Stragier (cello) en Jeroen Baert (violin)
