70's inspired bluesrock from Sweden. Long hair welcome!
What is going on in Sweden? It would seem that the dirty but swingingly groovy 70's rock sound (think Led Zeppelin) has made more of an impression there than elsewhere and manages to inspire the current generation too (via infiltration in the ground water?). So it was that, on the one hand: Witchcraft and on the other hand: Graveyard, arose from the ashes of stoner-band Norrsken at the start of last decade. The retro-rock of the foursome from Gothenburg has also managed to win new souls, they sound fresh and very anno 2011, as witnessed by their recent album ‘Hisingen Blues’. Also for those who love the Deep Purple and Cream classics.
Support-act will be Sweden's Horisont, really heavy ’70's hard-blues, think Blue Cheer and Black Sabbath. The exotic is often concealed in their Swedish lyrics. Their ‘Tva Sidor av Horisonten’ (‘Two Sides of Horisont’) is included amongst the best stoner albums of 2009.
