The Gorki theatre tour is coming to you! In premiĆØre! For the Mature Youth!
GORKI's ninth studio-album is now in shops and is, as always with anything that Vos takes on, again a gem in the (inter)national music landschape. As usual, Vos and his want to follow up the CD release, performances in beery smelling halls and muddy festival fields by rounding this period off in dignity in Flemish and Dutch theatres... and that with a broad programme in which multi-media once again plays a main role.
By presenting a giant elephant during the previous theatre tour (29 people narrowly avoiding being flattend by the colossus), and also an entire fanfare on stage (28 people still haven't gotten over the din) and the blinding naked images of Vos and his Dutch beauty (27 people as good as blind) it was clear that things couldn't continue like this. Seeing as Vos has no plans to keep it simpler this time either, the lawyers of all parties involved have worked out the following arrangement: An obligatory comment on all internal and external communication: 'FOR THE MATURE YOUTH!!!'
(For the Gorki-layperson: that is also the title of Gorki's ninth CD, and so Vos is Luc De Vos, the impressive Gorki frontman.)
Support-act will be none less than Tom Pintens (with a new album out by mid February)! Tom Pintens (still ex- Flowers For Breakfast and Zita Swoon) has finished a new album with the pleasing title āWinter maakt ons vrolijkā. The first single will be āCharleroiā. The album will be released on 16 February by V2 Records. Tom will be touring with Gorki in the Spring of 2009! This tour promises to be an exciting series of live concerts in which Gorki and Tom Pintens will be seen and heard at work ātogether, apart and next to one anotherā. Pintens also presents his new work during this tour.
