Where jazz meets Aphex Twin

From swing to bebop, from cool to free jazz and fusion. The genre has been reinventing itself for more than a century… now arriving at future jazz. BadBadNotGood, STUFF. and Kamasi Washington incorporate electronic- and rock-influences in their music. Gogo Penguin is the perfect addition to that, with music that can best be described as ‘where jazz meets Aphex Twin’. The trio from Manchester was nominated for the prestigious Mercury Prize in 2014, for the album ‘v2.0’.In 2018, Gogo Penguin reappears on the scene with third album, ‘A Humdrum Star’, which will be available as of February 9.
