Powerful vocals, rousing guitar riffs and excited rhythm sections
For more than twenty-five years, Godsmack has been making a name for themselves on the metal scene. The American quartet promises a new album in 2022 and announces their return with an unmissable stop at the Ancienne Belgique.
Godsmack, founded in 1995, is the project of singer-songwriter Sully Erna. Driven by his powerful vocals, rousing guitar riffs and excited rhythm sections, the band quickly gained popularity that transcended the local Boston scene. With Alice In Chains, Black Sabbath, Pantera and Led Zeppelin as their main influences, they embarked on their first headlining tour that also included a prominent spot on the Ozzfest tour in 1999. In the early 2000s, they developed a European fan base and saw their popularity grow thanks to supporting Metallica and Limp Bizkit. In Belgium, they play several times at Graspop Metal Meeting, where they are invited to play at the express request of festival-goers. Over the years, Godsmack has built an impressive repertoire of eight studio albums and a strong live reputation. Their concert is an absolute must-see!
