Brussels collective guides you through the global electronic underground
A good year after their infamous first visit, the Brusselians of Gloom Club return to AB for a long-awaited second round. The collective has an extra member now, but the mission remains the same: to bring up-and-coming talent from the (inter)national club scene to the capital and blow the roof off together.
With club killers like Lisa More (FR), EYCEE (NL), Fake Moss (BE) and the regular Gloom Club resident DJ’s on the programme, it’s already an edition to remember. Don’t sleep on it - get your tickets!
Lisa More
Lisa More, from Clermont-Ferrand, has already been a prominent name in the French electronica scene for several years. She learned to DJ at a young age in her father’s record shop and as a teenager she organised raves. Later, her Blue Nights concept at the renowned 101 Club became her trademark. More’s recent debut album Cyborg Tears is a blend of trance arpeggios, emo synths, killer breaks and atmospheric psychedelica, and immediately signals her top status on the French scene.
EYCEE
Producer and DJ EYCEE has been at home in the Amsterdam underground for many years. He’s known for his progressive UK club sound, with which he scored a debut EP in 2018 on London label Sans Absence. EYCEE’s mixes have already been heard on international platforms such as NTS Radio, BBC Radio 1 and Australia’s Triple J. As a promotor, he has contributed to building up Amsterdam’s nightlife in recent years with his own club night and label PARDON – which has experienced a true revival since the end of the lockdown.
Fake Moss
Brussels-based producer and DJ Fake Moss is known for his energetic sets full of breakbeat, deconstructed club, hardgroove, jungle and techno. His futuristic sound and persona have brought him to several clubs within Europe and beyond it, including the famous Zig in São Paulo. In Brussels, Fake Moss is a frequent guest on Kiosk Radio and Gimic Radio. His new party concept Apolemia offers a fresh take on clubbing to redefine local nightlife.
O'SIMMIE, Gaiko and L3rus
True to tradition, Gloom Club resident DJs O’SIMMIE, Gaiko and L3rus may open and close the night with a legendary closing set. Their freestyle back-to-backs are as unpredictable as a STIB ticket-check, so expect a surprising journey through the global electronic underground this time too.
