Tinariwen inspired reggae hailing from Israel's Golan Heights
TootArd (Arabian for strawberries) hails from the occupied territories of the Golan Heights in Israel. They consider the touareg blues of Tinariwen to be their greatest inspiration, but they are also inspired by classical Arabian music and reggae. Living proof: their latest, extremely danceable album ‘Laissez-Passer’.
As of late, AB even more firmly embraces the Glitterbeat label that is bursting with first-class acts like BaBa Zula, Ammar 808, Širom, Joshua Abrams... all of which can soon to be discovered at the BRDCST festival.
