Gentleman! Tough clip! Three years ago they were a true revelation in a shaking AB. Now finally back with a new CD 'Diversity', which includes first single 'It No Pretty'. With it thus a hard-as-nails clip.
Gentleman is the figurehead of a new draft of reggae performers with international connections. Jamaica remains a strong magnet. But, as with our Gentleman, the homebase could just as easily be Cologne or Leipzig. That is indeed in Germany, that fine land that recently also offered us Peter Fox, Ayo and Nneka.
There should be a live CD-DVD ready soon: 'Diversity Live' and it wouldn't surprise us if Gentleman were to give away heaps of stuff to the fans again too. Charitable and generous are no hollow words with this guy. In return Gentleman can also count on the collaboration of Sizzla, Diana King, Daffodils, Morgan Heritage, Marcia Griffith, Anthony B, Capleton...

So his real name is Otto Tillman, he's has been commuting between Cologne and Kingston for more than ten years and five CDs now and has even mastered the Jamaican patois. The world tours seem to follow one another easily; straight to 1 in the German hit-parade is no problem either. Once again: just as the name and the song titles imply, with Gentleman there is plenty of room for genuine love, tolerance and respect. Respect!
