Each month of this season, AB (with the support of the Taalunie) has organised Gelukkig Zijn Sessies that were always well-attended by an enthusiastic audience hailing from all corners of the globe: from Tibet to Brazil, via Syria, Korea, Mali, Spain, Russia to Zwevezele.

With songs like Daar gaat ze, Heist aan zee, Arme Joe, Lieve kleine piranha, Eerste sneeuw, Ik ben vandaag zo vrolijk, Goeiemorgen morgen or Ik neem je mee, the enthusiastic folks present had a relaxed opportunity to learn Dutch while singing in an excellent environment.

Anyone from anywhere in the world, who wants to learn Dutch and/or wants to sing Flemish classics at full volume, is welcome to these sessions.
You really don’t have to be a great singer. Pleasure and enthusiasm are the most important reasons for participating.

To conclude the season, we are organising an appropriate closer on 15 June at 8pm.
In the AB Club (enter via the main entrance to the AB - Anspachlaan 110), we arrange for a pianist, a leading singer, the lyrics and water.

With the summer in sight, we already depart on holiday for this final session: to ‘Heist aan zee’ and ‘Het strand van Oostende’.

This time, we’ll be concluding with a pleasant party, at which Dj Te Ki La will spin only Dutch-language party music on his turntables.
