The phenomenon of the moment
As a producer, Fred Gibson remained in the shadows of big names like Stormzy, Ed Sheeran and Charli XCX for a long time, but broke through during the corona pandemic with "Marea (we've lost dancing)," a wistful house record about the pain of an empty dance floor. Fortunately, the dance floors haven't been empty for a while, and there's little talk of melancholy during a live set from Fred again.
He does it with bold samples, jungle beats, poetic house and sometimes just with pumping bass, but Fred will get you dancing, again and again.... Proof of that is his boiling Boiler Room session and the phenomenal concert at Pukkelpop this summer about which newspaper De Morgen wrote that "The tent was dripping with delirium."
As if all this weren't enough, Fred has just announced that there will be a 3rd album in the Actual Life trilogy: Actual Life 3 (January 1 - September 9 2022), available everywhere from October 28.
