Two years after their debut ‘Every Morning Breaks Out‘ (4 chart hits, ‘Where Do We Go Now‘ at number 1 for weeks on end, all the big festivals, nominations for TMF Awards & MIAs), Freaky Age returns now with the successor ‘Living In Particular Ways’. Self-produced again, recorded in the Dada studio in Brussels and mastered in the Metropolis studios in London by Frank Arkwright (The Smiths, New Order, Arcade Fire). The first single ‘Excitement In The Morning Light’ has just been released, ‘street date’ for the album is 1 March and the tour starts here in the AB Club on 10 March.
Lenny: ‘Not playing any shows while we were recording the new album can certainly be seen as a come-down, after 2 years of touring with a full diary. But now we have the result. ‘Living In Particular Ways’ is an album on which you can hear a real band. When people ask me if it’s the same sort of thing as ‘Every Morning Breaks Out’, then I can only answer that it’s a lot better, in every way'.
The band was recently invited to the SXSW Showcase festival 2010 in Austin, Texas. Gigwise they’ll be heading overseas too, firstly to The Netherlands and the UK.
