Powerpop trio: The Police vs Nada Surf
This concert will be moved from friday 20 october to Tuesday 10 March 2015, still in ABClub: Fiction Plane has not entirely finished the new recordings and must postpone the greater part of the tour.
Tickets for the original date remain valid for the new date!
Pop! Powerpop! A power-pop trio with Seton Daunt on guitar, Pete Wilhoit on drums and vooral, instantly recognizable, that voice and that bass-style of Joe Sumner (sure thing, son of Sting.)
You can also read Fiction Plane as an anagram of 'Infant Police'. But that is purely coincidental. But it must be said that the voice and rhythm is extremely reminiscent of that legendary trio. The Police, we mean. Admittedly, with rocking references to other staunch trios like Nada Surf, for example, too.
Fiction Plane already scored well in the Low Lands, especially with Two Sisters (see too: that notable visit to Pinkpop at the time.) Now they have a new CD finished, for after the summer, here via Suburban.
That is the reality. Those are the only details so far. All the rest is 'plain fiction'. But those who have already experienced Fiction Plane (at eg: Cactus or as support-act to, yep, The Police), well they know where to go again, surely!?
