Pushing back frontiers with fifth longplayer ‘Night People’
After breakthrough album ‘Cavalier Youth’, from ’14, it all went surprisingly fast in homeland UK for You Me at Six: they filled the legendary Wembley Arena, scored hit after hit on British radio stations and camped at the very top of the charts for a long time. But their hunger is far from sated… “Do we want to headline Wembley Stadium four nights in a row and headline Glastonbury? Fuck yeah, we do.”
So they headed off to Nashville, Tennessee, and recorded fifth longplayer ‘Night People’ with the assistance of triple Grammy winner Jacquire King (Kings Of Leon, Of Monsters and Men, City and Colour). We can expect it in January 2017 via Sony Music. “I look at Biffy Clyro, Bring Me The Horizon, Tame Impala, Arctic Monkeys, Foals, all these bands who are having their moment and trying to become the new headliners, and we believe it’s our turn next. I want to watch our band blow up.”
