Song project by Neubauten chieftan Blixa Bargeld
Einstürzende Neubauten chieftain Blixa Bargeld has felt at home in AB since last century. We have always fully embraced Bargeld’s collaborative projects too. So it was that Bargeld has already dropped by twice with minimal electronica musician Alva Noto, from Berlin, and we now present, for the second time, his alliance with the Italian composer Teho Teardo.
Debut ‘Still Smiling’ was released in ’13, along the same lines as a classical album, in which Bargeld sings not only in English and German but also in Italian. Three years later, it is time for a successor: ‘Nerissimo’ – the Italian superlative for ’black’ – that sounds equally warm, intriguing and, again, exceptionally demure.
