Young rapper in the footsteps of Nekfeu
Just like very many of his peers, Lord Esperanza made his breakthrough via YouTube. The barely 22-year-old rapper gets millions of views with his video clips and has acquired a profile as one of the rising stars of the Parisian hip-hop scene. His eclectic style – which he says in influenced by MC Solaar, Damso and Maître Gims – is a mix of hip-hop and trap with pop influences. He released his debut-EP in 2017, together with beat-maker Majeur-Mineur: ‘Drapeau Noir’. Under the motto ‘Un artiste, c’est celui qui se réinvente sans cesse, qui sort constamment de sa zone de confort’ the rapper released another 3 EPs in only two years’ time. ‘Polaroïd’, ‘#Lordesperanzadanstaville’ and ‘Internet’ are remarkable, both musically and visually.
