Celebrated Brussels hip-hop trio launches debut 'SAPIENS'
Within only a few years, they have become the crème de la crème of Brussels hip-hop. The trio L’Or du Commun consists of Swing, Primero and Loxley. They released their first EP ‘L'Origine’ five years ago and it was followed by ‘L'Odyssée’. On both EPs you can hear their sidekick and rapper friend Roméo Elvis, with whom they released the single ‘Apollo’ in 2017. That single can in turn be found on their EP ‘Zeppelin’, the underlying catalyst for their breakthrough.
2018 was L’Or du Commun’s year. After a summer containing highlights on both Belgian and French stages, their first full album ‘SAPIENS’ was released in November via their LaBrique label. They again entrusted their favourite sound-architect as producer, beatmaker VAX-1. The result is an incredible debut.
‘Et j'en menais pas large avant que L'Or Du Commun ne m'ait repéré’ – Roméo Elvis in ‘1000 degrés’, his song featuring Lomepal.
