Superb electronica double-bill
James Place is the alter ego of New York-based sound artist Phil Tortoroli, who is also the boss of the RVNG Intl. label. He has already released his dark, synth-laden music on labels like Opal Tapes and Umor Rex. On this evening he will present – in contrast to his more rhythmic work – a ‘contemplative set’.

Antwerpian David Edren has been making electronic music for almost 2 decades now, as DSR Lines. He is also co-owner of the Hare Akedod label, specialised in electro-acoustic improvisational music. In 2015, Earth.Rope.Pot.Plant assigned him the task of creating conceptual 'Music For Mimosa Pudica & Codariocalyx'. The album 'Tea Notes' was released earlier this year, a collaboration with London-resident dilruba player Jatinder Singh Durhailay. His most recent work, entitled 'Electronic Gamelan Music', was released on cassette via Social Harmony.
