Belgium’s finest rockband. The Van Jets don’t have to put up with many bands aside or above them as far as stage presence and hit impact goes. The four sum up their chemistry as follows: fierce riffs versus fine melodies, beauty opposite violence, male and female. The foursome has established a strong track record over the past 12 years. The Van Jets won Humo’s Rock Rally 2004 with only five performances to their name. Their home-brewed rock’n’roll with bits of David Bowie, Iggy Pop and T. Rex created quite a stir in De Afrekening (Studio Brussel) and ensured a large influx of young ladies on the band’s social media. A new opposition gradually presented itself: rock’n’roll versus fierce dance grooves. On ‘Welcome To Strange Paradise’ (2015) the synthesizer even overtakes the guitar as leading instrument. Their fans have effortlessly followed all the artistic twists and turns, and continue to grow in number.
This evening The Van Jets will play the Grand Final of Jupiler’s Festival National. In the weekend of 16 to 17 September, Jupiler made a live music tour of 600 Jupiler café’s. That now concludes in a veritable festival afterparty in AB.
