Our favourite sharp-shooting subtle Swede now finally returns with the CD ‘Wooh Dang’ (here via V2). The recordings took place in a very old, empty building in the forest near his home in Southwestern Sweden. The old black piano standing there is used in every song and – seeing as everything was recorded ‘live’ and analogue – it’s quite possible that you will hear the floor creaking or an enthusiastic animal passing by. That’s how we know Daniel Norgren too, from his ever striking, sincere and yet also playful concerts: there is room for subtlety in the sadness.
