Thrilling free concerts, global avant-garde trance!
A free double-bill within the Brussels Jazz Weekend. First the mega-craziness of Boggamasta, followed by that giga-Glü excursion (but with a bit more Boggamasta interaction!?).
BOGGAMASTA:
David Bovée was the very first Flat Earth Society (FES) guitarist, who left the band after four years to go all out for his very own (prized by the BBC) ‘Think of One’. whether it was the polyglot melting pot with music with throat singers from Greenland, Gnawa musicians from Morocco, or Brazilian virtuosos. Peter Vermeersch is the composer and bandleader of Flat Earth Society, a 15-member band that is known for its runaway sound. Amongst other things, Vermeersch was also the producer of the first dEUS album, wrote the music for Rosas dances Rosas and was the founder and driving force of X-Legged Sally.
For Boggamasta, Vermeersch and Bovée write an exuberant repertoire together and present their own direct, energetic and irrepressible music: sizzling, with drive, groove and lots of electro.
