Female fronted punk & noise rock rules
BRDCST is AB’s brand new indoor spring festival, one whereby we focus on musical limitlessness. The name is a direct reference to the retro futuristic electronica-pop of English band Broadcast, which released inspiring albums like ‘Haha Sound’ and ‘Noise Made By The People’ over the past decade. Artists who feel strongly about musical innovation will form the focal point for BRDCST.

COCAINE PISS (b)
Savages (uk) and Perfect Pussy (us) lit the fuse again: sharp female fronted punk that reminds us of punk’s heyday in the late ’70s. Belgium couldn’t be left behind and so Cocaine Piss is Luik’s response. Their name is the result of a brainstorm session that they borrowed from Calvin & Hobbes, who were searching for the dirtiest description ever. The poetic result of this theoretical exercise was their band name: Cocaine Piss.
Their cassette debut ‘The Pool’ is now sold-out and contains exceedingly short, sharp and explosive songs like ‘Incest’, ‘Pussy’ and ‘Tourette’. Steve Albini fell for their stuff too, he will soon be producing their official debut. Cocaine Piss on that: ‘It’s a bit like a child dreams of becoming an astronaut’. Fait divers and coincidence or not: singer Aurélie Poppins often wears a Crass t-shirt during their shows. That will surely please Steve Ignorant.
Shetahr
Primitive, that’s how you can best describe Shetahr’s music. The trio from Brussels presents pop-music, but then in a wild and clumsy way. That sounds pretty refreshing.
