Antwerp composer/musician David Edren is the man behind DSR Lines, is ¼ of Het Interstedelijk Harmoniumverbond, runs the Hare Akedod label with Bent Von Bent, is half of Spirit & Form, and last year he released an album with the Indian sitar-player/Hindi singer Jatinder Singh Durhailay. Aside from self-releasing, his work has also been released by labels like Ultra Eczema, JJ Funhouse, Ekster and Ghent’s cassette label Social Harmony.
Edren is a master of creating magnificent (synth-)melodies in which, aside from Eastern and Indian music, he is also regularly inspired by animals, botanical gardens or tea. The recently released Spirit & Form album is yet another new highlight in the career of this unique artist whose work, without exception, always radiates a unique beauty.
Miaux is the alter-ego of Antwerp-based Sarajevo-born Mia Prce. Her minimal, melancholic piano melodies – mostly played on a cheap Casio synth – are bite-sized chunks for quirky filmmakers seeking the most sublime soundtrack for their work. Her 3rd album ‘Black Space, White Cloud’ was released on Dennis Tyfus’ Ultra Eczema label in 2019. Humo wrote of it: ‘klinkt echt alsof NEU!, Angelo Badalamenti en John Carpenter samen een soundtrack bij ‘Stranger Things’ hebben gemaakt’
