This summer we're expecting a new album from British hardcore-rave sensation Enter Shikari. Alternative Press or AP, the magazine for this scene, immediately made it one of the 10 albums to look out for in 2011. Not in the least because this time their sound – according to frontman Rou Reynolds – is impregnated with dubstep and post-rock and was influenced by – getting tired?! - the work of Venetian Snares and Aphex Twin. After an American excursion on the Vans Warped Tour, this summer the band will be visiting Europe again at the end of the year.
Enter Shikari have visited AB often. This will be their fourth appearance on our stage, where they've repeatedly demonstrated that frolicking rave and trance-synthesizer sound, combined with biting guitars and screaming vocals create a big effect. The venue is ablaze in no time, every time.
Your Demise hails from St. Albans, just like Enter Shikari. Their biting hardcore can also be found on most recent album ’The Kids We Used To Be' that was put out.
American post-hardcore band Let Live recently released the album ’Fake History’.
