An evening focusing on the legendary EMS synthesizers
Constantin Papageorgiadis (B)
Constantin is a well-known figure in the EMS Synthi world, both musically and technically. He is known as a repairer and ‘builder’ of EMS synths and he restored the UGent’s legendary Synthi 100 to its former glory a few years ago. Through this work, he has come into contact with many artists who work with these exceptional instruments.
In 2014, he released the solo album ‘Synthi Lag’ and in 2017 he released, together with Yoshio Machida, the album ‘Music From The Synthi 100’.
Yoshio Machida (Jap)
Yoshio Machida studied ‘minimal art / music / film’ at the Tama university of Tokyo. He is a famous ‘steelpan’ player and already has more than 10 releases to his name.
LCDrone (B)
LCDrone is the raw live sound of Laura Sicault and Constantin Papageorgiadis: her SEM, his Synthis, a few effects and their bizarre inspiration. Laura used to play oboe professionally, before switching to synthesizers.
