Impressive Faroese folk-pop
Eivør, the folk singer from the Faroe Islands, draws inspiration from the beauty of the rugged landscapes of Syðrugøta, the village of barely 450 inhabitants where she grew up. With ten studio albums to her name, and collaborations with artists like Àsgeir and Lana Del Rey's Dan Heath, Eivør is recognized as one of the most eclectic Scandinavian artists and most captivating singers of the moment.
She received the Nordic Council Music Prize in 2021 and has also already won Icelandic Music Prizes, the Danish Music Award - Folk and Faroese Music Awards. Eivør’s music is deeply rooted in old, cultural folklore and the occult. All told, her music has been streamed nearly 1 billion times and has led to sold-out tours in Scandinavia, Europe and the US. In 2024, Eivør will release new music and tour, also making a stop at AB.
