Amina Hocine is a Swedish composer, sound artist and instrument maker from Stockholm. She writes acousmatic, acoustic and noted music in which she concentrates on long pieces that investigate minimal harmonic movements and static, rhythmic gestures. Her recent work is centred around a self-made organ that consists of heating-, ventilation- and airco-parts that produces mesmerising drones with deeply psycho-acoustic effects. Inspired by spiritual sciences, she weaves detailed shades of sound into her compositions that encourage deep listening.
