AB has been a fan of Amatorski for a while now. Once recommended to us by The Bony King Of Nowhere and immediately found to be a golden tip. Amatorski makes music in a parallel universe that's good to hang out in. A place where Emiliana Torrini, ‘Blue Velvet’ (David Lynch), Portishead and Sigur Rós put together dreams. Their wonderful song ‘The King’ could already be discovered on ABTV. Flanders became a complete fan when StuBru suddenly promoted ‘Come Home’ to Hotshot (again a wonderful song with a starring role for Bram ‘The Bony King’ Vanparys). There was a stampede on the band's only official release: a 10 inch vinyl bearing the title ‘Same Stars We Shared’, of which only 300 copies were available. It would seem that Amatorski has more than earned its spot at the Feeërieën.

9:45 pm - Die Anarchistische Abendunterhaltung
We're not entirely sure now if it should be Die Anarchistische Abendunterhaltung or DAAU. Going by their most recent – extremely beautifully released – sixth album ‘The Shepherd’s Dream’ then it's once more the longer version of the two. DAAU also opts for the acoustic path again on this album and it tends toward the sound of their untitled debut of ’95. We certainly read a fine description of their most recent album in Agenda/Brussel Deze Week: “DAAU provides the perfect antidote to society's acceleration: minimalistic compositions that slowly unfold like bucolic landscapes and fairy-tale utopias.”. Quite fine words. Oh, and just be sure to check out their album ‘This Immortal Coil’, a tribute to the band Coil that they recorded in collaboration with the likes of Bonnie ’Prince’ Billy and Yann Tiersen.
