Antwerp rap-king conquers the rest of the world
From Sierra Leone to Antwerp crossing Barcelona and on to London… and now the rest of the world! Darrell Cole has been forging his way for more than 15 years now. The Antwerp rap veteran with roots in Sierra Leone scored radio hits in 2016 with tracks like Take Me Away and BOATS. He was unavoidable on video channels for a while there, but still had to fight for radio airplay in Belgium. After that, things quietened down a little around Cole and he went through a period full of ups and downs, but bounced back. After the trilogy Loading, Still Loading and Fully Loaded, he just recently released Loading (Deluxe Edition).
His latest album contains ten tracks filled with growth, excitement and appreciation for the support from his listeners during his musical hiatus. As always, he effortlessly experiments with various genres: from afro to neo-soul, from trap to jazz.
Today, Cole is being picked up by his musical heroes (à la Mobb Deep), planning collaborations with Freddie Gibbs and sees his stats skyrocket on Spotify and Shazam. Grab your chance to still see his show in the intimate setting of AB Club, because he's going places!
