Extra afternoon concert: unique London artist in the intimate setting of the AB Salon
The 27-year-old Londoner Daniel Blumberg just recently released his first album under his own name: ‘Minus’ (Mute Records). It is an extremely personal, intimate album in which Blumberg deals with his personal demons and a broken relationship.
After leaving his previous band, Yuck, Blumberg dove into the scène of (improv-)musicians around Cafe OTO in London. He developed his own musical language there and got to know the likes of violin player Billy Steiger and bass player Tom Wheatley. Completed by Jim White (Dirty Three, Cat Power, Xylouris White) on drums, this led to ‘Minus’, one of the most beautiful and most intense albums you will hear this year.
