Belgian rock sensation presents new album full of stylized songs.
The new album 'Harlequins Of Love' by Belgian sensation Customs will be released on September 23 and as far as the sound goes it differs substantially from its successful predecessor. Aside from the typical Customs patterns, singer Kristof Uittebroek, bassist Joan Govaerts, guitarist Jelle Janse and drummer Ace Zec take on a new arsenal of sounds that make ‘Harlequins Of Love’ a fresh sounding and enduring album. Four big hits came from their first one, ‘Enter The Characters’: ‘Rex’, ‘Justine’, ‘The Matador’ and ‘Shut Up Narcissus’.
The first single from ‘Harlequins’ made it immediately made Hot Shot at Studio Brussel and a second single 'Velvet Love' is on it's way. Their new CD was produced by Jo Francken (Triggerfinger, Admiral Freebee) and mastered in the famous Abbey Road studio in London where the services of Geoff Pesche (Gorillaz, Pulp, Coldplay) were called upon. The ABBox is the next stop in Customs' 2011 tour.

The Me in You, a fivesome with roots in Hageland, attempts to convert melancholy into catchy melodies and polyphonic harmonies. The band came into being in 2009 and right from the start they appeared solidly anchored in the musical heritage that stretches from The Byrds to Sparklehorse. A first demo was picked up by the Noisesome label (Customs, Motek) that last summer gave them the opportunity to record their debut album. The recordings took place in the renowned La Chapelle studios with producer Joris Caluwaerts (Zita Swoon, The Go Find). The album was mixed by Bob Hermans, known from Stijn and The Go Find. The release of first single ‘Girl in Armour’ – which will precede the album - is planned for October. Dutch music monthly Oor has already been charmed by The Me in You, of “Girl In Armour” they wrote: ‘It just oozes tristesse and summer-evening-nostalgia, a song to have special memories of.’
