Electropunk Duo and RockRally Winners Launch First EP
“Brutal, smack in the face, tons of charisma and at the very least something completely different,” or so Stijn Meuris was heard to say immediately after the Compact Disk Dummies’ resounding victory at the Humo Rock Rally. And rightly so! These two young brothers cite as their influences The Knife, Animal Collective and Crystal Castles and sound every bit as exciting, adventurous and explosive.
De Standaard described their music as a mix of ‘primordial Belgian techno from the likes of Front 242, The Subs and Waxdolls’. Their first EP – as yet still untitled – comes out in the spring of 2013 and is produced by none other than Nid & Sancy.
