The big breakthrough is eyeing these promising Belgians!
I WILL, I SWEAR
The young alliance I Will, I Swear, from Ghent, is working on an impressive course through Belgium's pop landscape. Singer Fien Deman and multi-instrumentalist Jonathan Van Landeghem first appeared on the scene with the release of ‘Long Days / Sleep’ (on the fantastic Unday Records of Hydrogen Sea, Trixie Whitley & Flying Horseman), managing to score on both Studio Brussel, Radio 1 and Radio 2. The buzz online is getting louder too! The YouTube-counter for the ‘Long Days’ video now indicates more than a half million views while famous players from the blogosphere (Disco Naïveté, The Line Of Best Fit) are writing profusely and predicting a fascinating future for the band.
Their delicate and melancholy songs recently brought them to the highest dias of StuBru’s talent competition De Nieuwe Lichting 2015. Then there was their debut EP ‘Strings Of Gold’ containing the stunning new single ‘Fractures’. The duo is currently supported by a few more folks on stage, so I Will, I Swear is also reaching maturity live too. The big breakthrough has an eye on them!
ULYSSE
The triumvirate Ulysse presents electronic pop songs that harbour both emotion and a heap of energy. So they don't only aim for your head and your heart, but also get the dancing feet moving. Not everyone can do that… It reminds us of Bonobo meets SBTRKT topped with a spicy Mount Kimbie sauce!
