The mysterious Briqueville, Belgium's best kept sludge/doom-secret, sucks you into an all-engulfing vortex of hypnotising, drawn-out and pulverizing post-metal on their self-titled debut album (out 7/11). Donned in dark robes and golden masks, the five demons hit hard with hypnotic, repetitive vocals draped over leaden guitars and pounding drums. “A mix between The Haxan Cloak and Ghost” as they themselves describe it, “but who knows…” add the mysterious rascals.
