LAS LLORONAS
They started out as street musicians, but 3 years later the Brussels trio Las Lloronas became one of the capital's best-kept musical secrets. With their atypical mix of acoustic melodies and slam, these three women effortlessly seduce friends and enemies alike. Their first album 'Soaked' is proof of this. They plunge us into intimate lyrics, imbued with beautiful harmonies and melancholic melodies. During their performances, the Lloronas expose their souls in moments of great vulnerability, oscillating between lament, reverie and battle cry. Accompanied by guitar, accordion, ukulele and clarinet, the 3 musicians create a delightful polyphonic symbiosis of traditional Spanish music, klezmer, fado, blues and slam, which can only be described as 'Las Lloronas'.
REFUGEES FOR REFUGEES
Refugees for Refugees brings together 8 renowned musicians from Syria, Tibet, Iran, Afghanistan, Turkey and Belgium who are united by their desire to weave links between their music. The group has developed an original repertoire at the crossroads between their different traditions. After the successful release of their second album Amina, they will present us a brand program. It represents reconstruction, the fresh energy needed to map out a new trajectory after being uprooted. Breaking down musical barriers, the group offers a rich menu of sounds, from lively Afghan popular songs to the refinement of the classical tradition from Aleppo, through the pure power of nomadic Tibetan chants, the weightless sounds of the Persian sitar and the subtleties of oriental percussion.

The band has been serving danceable percussion beats and funky horns with influences of psychedelic blues and rock since 2016. Kolonel Djafaar creates an irresistible groove in which the keyboard adds a psychedelic touch to the percussion, bass and guitar. Let yourself be carried away by the narrative melodies of the four horns: from subtle additions to tearing solos. Kolonel Djafaar embodies a very personal interpretation of Fela Kuti and Mulatu Astatke!
