“Temper Temper, their fourth, adds an aggressive edge to their sound.” (Q Magazine)
“Net als op vorig album 'Fever' is er op ‘Temper Temper’ veel ruimte voor strakke krakers die alternatieve dansvloeren zeker kunnen vullen.” (Da Music)
“While it isn't Bullet's best album, it's certainly their most mature and interesting effort to date.” (Kerrang!)
“Bullet for My Valentine heeft zich een stevige sound aangemeten, die alsmaar sterker en strakker zit. Prima gitaarmelodieën en uitdagende songstructuren zitten verpakt in een mooi uitgebalanceerde productie.” (Kwadratuur)
Well-oiled Welsh bulldozer Bullet For My Valentine thunders further away from the trash-metal of the early days in the direction of stadium-esque melodious heavy metal on their fourth album ‘Temper Temper’, without losing sight of their trademark hard-as-nails riffs alternated with sing-along-able refrains. For all that tastiness, figurehead Matthew Tuck headed off to Thailand on a retreat with his valentines and for the finishing touches they visited dial-man Don Gilmore again (Linkin Park, Korn, Lacuna Coil). At Graspop ’13, these four British thrashers proved that their new material is entirely stage-proof and the reviewer from De Standaard thought so too: “This young band from Wales is a well-oiled machine. And if that machine pulls out those hits from their debut - '4 Words (to choke upon)' and of course 'Tears don't fall' – then the vibe will be a winner on the festival field.
I'll be all hands on deck for Bullet For My Valentine in AB, and for the turtle-doves amongst us: BFMV passes by five days before Valentine's Day so what could be more romantic than a bit of love in the circle pit or allowing yourself be swallowed up, hand in hand and full of conviction, by an immense wall of death? Metal love can be so lovely!
Callejon & Coldrain support
German fury Callejon and Japanese metalheads Coldrain will provide the warm-up and are keen to profile themselves outside their national borders as top acts in their sort of metal. An interesting evening of fine international metal!
