Bring Me The Horizon is back with a vengeance! Their new album will be out in October and is titled ‘There Is A Hell, Believe Me I’ve Seen It, There Is A Heaven, Let’s Keep It A Secret’. The band became a worldwide phenomenon thanks to MySpace (almost 500,000 friends and music that has been listened to 45 million times). BMTH has shared stages with bands like Lostprophets, A Day To Remember and The Haunted - just to name a few - and has completely blown away audiences in Australia, South America, Asia and Europe (blowing the roof off AB in November 2009 ). The band completed its second Vans Warped tour this past summer and was - once again - the band with the hardest pits and the biggest queues for signing sessions. The successor to the successful ‘Suicide Season’ was (just as the first album) recorded in Sweden with producer Fredrik Nordström (Arch Enemy, Dimmu Borgir) and contains guest performances by Josh Scogin (The Chariot), Josh Franceschi (YouMeAtSix), Sonny Moore and extra electronica from KC Blitz (who also previously collaborated on the ‘The Cut Up’ remix album).
As ever, Bring Me The Horizon always manages to get hold of a few prime support acts too. American metalcore band The Devil Wears Prada managed to convince many fans of the genre with their third studio-album ‘With Roots Above And Branches Below’. The new Architects album ‘The Here And Now’ will be released in January 2011, all the more reason to tow this British mathcore band along on the road.
The night will be kicked off by DJ-duo Tek-One. ‘We are Tek-One. We are a brand new duo who make music out of circuit bent children’s toys, broken keyboards, short-circuited toy amps, anything with AA batteries and a low bit-rate that was built in Taiwan and designed to amuse a young child for 30 seconds. We keep them alive, and to thank us they produce aleatoric chance noises’.
Tek-One also provided the dubstep-remix of Bring Me The Horizon’s ‘Sleep With One Eye Open’ that can be found on the remix-version of their album ‘Suicide Season’. Other remixes were created by Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan (Slipknot), Ben Weinman (The Dillinger Escape Plan) and Ian Watkins (Lostprophets).
