One of Belgium’s most inspiring rappers launches new album
Over the past two years, Brihang has proven to be one of the most interesting voices of his generation. With a background as sculptor and influenced by Belgian poets, the rapper from Knokke views hip-hop from a different standpoint. On his debut album ‘zolangmogelijk’, he philosophizes about his daily struggles over unadulterated, unique beats. The album garnered unanimous rave reviews too.
In recent months, the artist with words has been working painstakingly on a successor to that debut, with single ‘Steentje’ as first feat. In his inimitable fashion, we hear the rapper reflect upon the stone in his shoe: something that, at worst, would be an annoying aside for someone else is reason for him to shrewdly reflect upon the sense and nonsense of our existence.
