braindance_
XL-edition of AB's nightlife concept
braindance_ is AB’s platform for progressive DJs, bedroom producers and groundbreaking live electronica acts. On Friday 19 December 2025 the entire AB complex will once again be transformed into a steamy nightclub in the heart of Brussels, with established DJs in the Main Hall and a playground for electronic live sets in AB Club. Expect a night of mind-blowing musical discoveries that get your dancing feet and grey matter moving.
The Blessed Madonna
We proudly welcome an icon of the international nightlife scene as headliner of his edition: The Blessed Madonna. She started out organising illegal raves and selling carefully compiled mixtapes in the late ‘90s. In 2016, she became the first female DJ ever to be named DJ of the Year by Mixmag. In her DJ sets she combines house, techno, disco and superb pop songs with a healthy dose of positive activism.

Jennifur
Jennifur is a Belgian DJ and producer who creates almost cinematic electronic music at the intersection of indie, UK Bass and electronica. He describes his sound as “balancing between head and heart”. It couldn’t be more befitting of braindance_! Since his debut in 2022, with the video game soundtrack of the game Nowhere, Now Here and his LP Things Don’t Change Until They Do, Jennifur has developed into a master of bittersweet, atmospheric electronic sounds, which he wants to present to us with his live set.

Juicy Romance
Later in the evening, Juicy Romance will pick up the pace. The Australian DJ and producer, based in London, sometimes calls herself “The Scandalizer from down under” or a “beat-making baddie”, and we can only agree. With her playful mix of techno, electro, and pop classics in a club outfit, she creates a hedonistic vibe that regularly gets a heart racing.

Sim0ne
Scotland’s Sim0ne played at braindance_ in the AB Club in 2023, but already proved then that she was ready for the Main Hall. Her energetic mix of house, trance, happy hardcore and techno with a solid nod to the ‘90s is a hit wherever she goes. The rave reviews for her sets at Glastonbury, ADE and Pukkelpop are proof of that.

Swimming Paul
Parisian Swimming Paul moved to London and found his sound in the underground rave scene there. He grabbed the attention of BBC Radio 1 with the emotional track Fading and soon after that none other than Tiësto approached him for a collaboration, resulting in the track VHS Rave. A nostalgic yet energetic set to kick-off braindance_.

Surusinghe
We close AB Club with another Australian sensation: DJ and producer Surusinghe. Her sets are full of surprises, are driven by percussion and bursting with bass. Elements of reggaeton and other worldly sounds are never far removed. As co-founder of the Drifting platform, she works to create a stronger underground scene.

VAAGUE
No braindance_ without a few solid live acts like VAAGUE. Antoine Pierre is actually a jazz drummer, but during his dance set he is entirely solo with his drum kit on stage. The concept is simple: grooves, samples, a mix of acoustic and electronic sounds and all that played 100% live, with room for improvisation. No accompanying clicks, no playback, no loops: only Antoine, his drumsticks and his samples played live.
