- Check the TIMINGS here
braindance_ provides a platform for progressive DJs, bedroom producers and pioneering live electronica acts with the same vibe as the infamous Boiler Room Sessions.
On Friday 22 December ‘23, braindance_ expands far beyond the walls of the AB Club. The whole of AB is transformed into a smoking hot nightclub in the heart of Brussels. Are you ready to ascend?
The Subs (Main Hall)
As if The Subs need any introduction! For years, this genre-fluid trio has consistently put on incredible live shows on the Belgian and international club scene. One Track Brain, Ogenn and Tonic have had major hits and performed at all the big festivals with what they refer to as ‘absurd trancepunk blitz’.
horsegiirL (Main Hall)
They don’t come crazier than horsegiirL. This German artist’s identity remains a well-kept secret, but the mask doesn’t lie: she’s a horse girl. After her track My Barn My Rules went viral, she’s played powerful DJ sets in clubs around the world. Her Boiler Room session has, in the meantime, passed a million views. One thing is certain: wherever horsegiirL goes, she gets the dancefloor galloping.
Lander & Adriaan Live (Main Hall)
Drummer Lander Gyselinck and electronic wonder Adriaan Van de Velde are Lander & Adriaan. The pair share a love of digital synths and '90s underground dance. After a couple of successful jams, they recorded their first album and crushed all this summer’s festivals. They are ending the year in style, in AB’s Main Hall during braindance_.
Oden & Fatzo Live (Main Hall)
We don’t have to say ‘live’ when we mention Oden & Fatzo, as they only ever perform live. No DJ sets for this electronic trio. This French act plays a blend of house and UK garage, although they can also be surprisingly funky.
Mella Dee (AB Club)
There’s no better name to bring AB Club to a close than Mella Dee. The British producer and DJ has been on the scene for over ten years and with his experience, he has all the records he needs to blow up a dancefloor. Beyond his house and jungle sets, his own tracks Techno Disco Tool and Donny's Groove have become real classics.
Bibi Seck (AB Club)
With her infectious energy, Bibi Seck’s DJ sets are a celebration of life. The Antwerp DJ plays a mixture of house and disco that makes it impossible to stay still. As a resident with our friends at Fuse, she knows the Brussels crowd better than anyone!
LCY (AB Club)
From the Royal Opera House in London to Primavera Sound in Barcelona, from Glastonbury to Herrensauna in Berlin, LCY (they/them) is at home everywhere they go. As one of the most experimental artists in our line-up, LCY stands out with their innovative music productions and adventurous DJ sets.
sim0ne (AB Club)
Rising star sim0ne is someone worth keeping an eye on. Her career began as a model, taking part in Britain's Next Top Model, appearing in advertising campaigns for Citroën and Garnier and shining in two videos for The 1975; however, she now excels at playing records. The ‘90s are never far away from this Scottish DJ’s house and techno sets.
Mati Drome (Main Hall)
DJ and event organiser Mati Drome is best known for his macabre queer concept ‘Drag Me To Hell’. For over ten years, he has sat on the throne as the Antwerp underground dance scene’s Prince of Darkness, broadcasting his message of inclusion all over the world.
Full = full
The capacity of the Upstairs Club is 300, and the Main Hall capacity is 2000. Full is full, so go Upstairs well in time not to miss your favourite artists.
