The Brits Blood Red Shoes or rather the duo Steven Ansell and Laura-Mary Carter wass released ‘Fire Like This’ on 1 March 2010. Strongly influenced by a long line of American underground performers such as Sonic Youth, Fugazi, Pixies and Babes In Toyland, this time they honour the punk- and DIY-ethic even more. From out of Brighton, they're going to conquer the world with their never-ceasing wall of guitar-sound, hail of drum beats and Carter's lascivious cooing. Watch out for them!
Mike Crossey (who also collaborated on the second Arctic Monkeys album) once again provides the production, just as for their debut ‘Box Of Secrets’. A good idea, as HUMO found that same debut to be namely an ‘excellent collection of singles’. You already know ‘Say Something, Say Anything’ and ‘It’s Getting Boring By The Sea’, soon let yourself be completely caught up by the new one from Blood Red Shoes.

Support act will be Brits Pulled Apart by Horses.
