London drill star presents new album
Blanco aka Joshua Emmanuel Pinto João Eduardo, known as the founder of pioneering drill collective The Harlem Spartans, continues to push boundaries with his signature style. Blanco grew up with big family gatherings and Brazilian cable TV shows. You can clearly hear that influence in his solo work, characterised by warm Brazilian baile funk beats and thoughtful lyrics. From his roots in the London drill scene to his solo adventures incorporating a soulful mix of afroswing, baile funk and rap philosophies, Blanco is growing at a lightning pace. He already has collaborations behind him with the likes of Central Cee, KTrap and Ama Lou and is rightly seen as the UK's ‘next big thing’.
