BRMC blows steam out your ears with their bluesy rock'n'roll
Our favourite leather jacketed gang is back! Black Rebel Motorcycle Club has been tearing through the land of rock&roll since ‘98, with their characteristic mix of garage rock, swampy blues, shoegaze and psychedelica. After a tumultuous period in which drummer Nick Jago was replaced by the lovely Leah Shapiro (The Raveonettes) now it's time for a new chapter in the already reasonably impressive BRMC résumé. With longplayer N°7 in the making, successor to ‘Beat The Devil’s Tattoo’ from ’10, the BRMC-caravan will stop in Brussels once again (after their previous Belgian visit in Hasselt's Muziekodroom).
Noel Gallagher once called them the best live band on the planet and their last AB-concert in ’08 confirmed that status. “Eén grote tornado” wrote concert-site Damusic about it. You can get the steam blowing from your speakers - with the new BRMC longplayer on repeat - as of March ’13, getting the steam blowing from your ears will take place on the stage of the AB. ‘Whatever Happened To My Rock ‘N’ Roll?' Well, you'll find out on 1 April 2013 and then you'll also see where, say, The Black Box Revelation and Band Of Skulls gained inspiration!
