This is a part of
Black History Month
As part of Belgian Black History Month, we will be hosting 3 live broadcasts on the AB Facebook page, putting the spotlight on some very promising black talent. Some may have already made a name for themselves, either through A COLORS SHOW, by taking part in De Nieuwe Lichting or because they have previously graced the stage at AB. Others have not yet found fame, but are no less worthy of discovery. On the 17th, 18th and 19th of March, we offer a very warm welcome to our rising stars. On Friday 19 March, we are delighted to introduce ESINAM and Sunday Rose.
Brussels flautist ESINAM has come a long way already. She was part of Marockin' Brass, Kel Assouf, Témé Tan and Sysmo, and has already contributed to albums by the likes of Melanie De Biasio and Baloji. In her solo work, this multi-instrumentalist creates a unique universe where acoustic sounds are interwoven with electronic effects and her own voice. The result is a rich, colourful electro-jazz sound. Her live shows take the audience on a journey through this unique musical world, while she also allows plenty of room for improvisation.
Last year, Sunday Rose was part of the talent contest De Nieuwe Lichting, with her single 'Worst I Ever Had’. She was also asked to be the supporting act for Tessa Dixson. One single soon led to more, thanks to her unique blend of pop, R&B and soul music. Sunday Rose has firmly established herself as ‘one to watch’.
