The Grammy Award-winning songwriter, musician and celebrated Kenyan singer Bien-Aimé Baraza (also known as Bien) has made an indelible impression on the music industry. For more than 15 years, Bien has been a part of the boyband Sauti Sol, a band that has consistently dominated the charts.
In 2021, Bien ventured into solo music with his first EP Bald Men Love Better. The song Mbwe Mbwe was soon the summer hit of the year and one of the most streamed East African songs of 2022, with more than 12 million views on YouTube.
Even after this triumph, Bien continued to make waves with consecutive hits such as Too Easy and Inauma. The meteoric rise of his solo career is unprecedented, with an astounding 60 million views on TikTok and huge streaming figures.
Bien comes to present his long-awaited first solo album Alusa: Why Are You Topless? in the AB Club.
